Kāiarahi is a national system of North Island based Whānau Ora partnerships and support workers, commissioned by Te Pou Matakana to work alongside whānau to develop plans, set goals, support them to achieve their intended outcomes and document their successes. This research was commissioned by Te Pou Matakana to provide a more detailed and richer understanding of the Kaiārahi role and its contribution to Whānau Ora outcomes, as well as identify any key factors which impacted on the effectiveness of the role.
